Has Anyone Had A Rectal Abcess?
I have IBS and diverticulitis. I also gave internal bleeding hemrroids for which I has sclerotherapy to shrink them. I had 2 successful procedures but my last one failed and caused a perforation with a septic abcess and fistula. I have been hospitalized 3 times now. Has anyone experienced anything similar. Apparently the failed procedure is considered rare.

Hi thank you for sharing. It is very painful. I see Surgeon again on March 6 hopefully healed a bit more. On top of that I fell in the shower hurt my ribs and thigh. I just feel weak. Thanks again.

My ibs has been out of control lately but I definitely know food is a trigger especially sugar. This time of year is especially hard as everything is about food and I find myself not eating just to avoid having a issue but we know not eating can also cause gas build up and that can also get ibs going. I take Imodium all the time because I'm afraid of the explosion of diarrhea. Right now I think it's backfired and I have terrible constipation.
