Sinequan is a prescription drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat several types of depression. Sinequan is also referred to by its drug name, Doxepin.
Sinequan is an antidepressant of the tricyclic class. Sinequan is believed to work by changing the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain.
How do I take it?
Sinequan is taken one or more times daily.
Sinequan comes in capsule and oral concentrate forms.
Side effects
The FDA-approved label for Sinequan lists common side effects including headache, blurred vision, drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, weight changes, swelling of breasts, sweating, and sexual dysfunction.
Rare but serious side effects listed for Sinequan include worsening depression.
