Has Anyone Else Tried The Low-FODMAP Diet For IBS-C (NOT IBS-D)? If So, How Did It Go For You??
The diet seems to be really geared towards IBS-D especially from what I can tell. I know when I first tried doing it it helped the bloating, but made everything else worse, because I was following all the low fiber (and often pretty heavy) recipes on Pinterest... not great for constipation or someone whose gut is triggered by heavy foods. Combining the low-FODMAP diet (modified with what I know I can handle based on the reintroduction phase) with a more personally "constipation friendly" diet… read more
I have cut off fried foods, carbonated drinks, dairy free, gluten free foods
Does Anyone Else Get Body Aches When There IBS Is Flaring Up?
I was just wondering does anyone experience body aches and fatigue with IBS? Last night after I went to sleep I started having body aches and was like NO!! I can.t get sick... I did have a flare up yesterday and it when on all day and apparently through the night with the aches and then this morning too. I've been on a light diet since yesterday. How Many Of You Have Pain Every Day?
I wouldn't say I have a flare up everyday or extreme pain, but I definitely do have abdominal discomfort at least 6/7 days of the week. I'm new to this diagnosis and am just trying to figure out what is common/normal for this.
Any information/testimonies would be great
I have pain pretty well everyday but when it is really bad I have to stay in bed.
Do Any Other Ibs Sufferers Have A Nasty Yellow Tongue And Bad Taste In The Mouth ?I Also Have Acid Reflux. Generally Unhappy Digestion.

Telling New Friends?
Hi, I have recently relocated to another country. How soon do you explain your illness to new friends? I’m going to run out of excuses to meet up with them soon 😳
I also have fibromyalgia so have flare ups with that also,so double the cancellations!
I try too tell friends
Many of them don"t get it.
Gas But Constipated
I used to have diarrhea quite often, but now I am almost always constipated. I have no idea how to deal with it. I eat 25g + of fibre each day and take Align. I have started taking Iberogast as I also have reflux issues, but nothing is working. I also have a lot of gas and get very bloated, pretty much all the time...
Restoralax does work, but often times too well and then I’m going multiple times a day!
Any ideas of how to fix this???? I would really appreciate any input!! 🙂
Also, I have constipation unless i take a laxative since I can not have a B.M on my own. I take Milk of Magnesia twice per week and have done this for 21/2 years. I go several times after it starts… read more
Is There A Bearable Way To Mix Cholestyramine Powder?
I have been taking cholestyramine powder for about 6 months and if you take it you know it is not pleasant. It does not dissolve in liquid and if not mixed up vigorously you are swallowing lumps of orange powder. If there is anyone out there who takes it and has found a halfway bearable way of taking it I would greatly appreciate any advice. It helps so well for me but I want to puke everytime I drink it. What sucks is just about everything bothers me and I NEED to take this medication if I ever… read more
I have found so far the best way to take it is to mix it with applesauce. Or, mix with orange or pineapple juice or a Gatorade zero in the blender. Still slightly gritty, but way better than anything… read more
