Ibs Getting Worse
I have sufferd with ibs and conscription since a young age of 12 but over the years since gotten older it seems to be getting worse I never usto have the flares just severe pains and a lil upset stomach but past two years I flare constantly I.now.have chronic constipation hospitalised 4 times and more keeled over on floor scared to to anywhere than.enjoyong life anyone elses got worse over years? and what medication do you all take.? other than buscopan I have that :) il.try anything and… read more
Yeah I find peppermint hard on the tummy. Ginger is great though. It's used naturally to calm nausea and morning sickness in pregnant women. I boil up some water and cut up some ginger root and through it into the water. You can also add lemon and manuka honey if you can tolerate them. If you look up FODMAP diet, that's widely used for IBS treatment. I find dairy is a problem for me and possibly eggs. But I'm vegan for personal reasons so I'm working with different foods than a normal diet. I know rice and white fish are good for settling the tummy. I have suffered with anxiety and depression for years and was on meds for 5 years. Came off them about 3 months ago and everything is going good. Definitely stress management helps. I love yoga and meditation, but if you don't like that, I find running good and I've also done pole fitness which is great craic and great for body confidence. Xx
I was on peppermint tablets off the doctor for gas and that but it was given me more bloating and bad stomachs anything minty gives me a bad stomach typical what is that a exclusion diet? yeah I use hot water bottle but I dont often.feel it due to how bad my pains are I end up burning my stomach :( yeah I suffer anxiety terrible since ibs has gotten worse and I got so bad I was hospitalised so made my anxity awful yoga ? dont think theirs any yoga classes around by me not my cup of tea but id give it ago if it helped thanks for you help xx
Peppermint tea makes my stomach worse for a while, though it does help to get rid of gas. Have you tried exclusion diets? Some people have a lot of success with them ☺ I often find a hot water bottle helps on my tummy in the evenings (and day if it's really bad). If you suffer from anxiety and stress, that can make things dire. Personally, yoga has been a saving grace for me x

I always had IBS D since age 20. Now at age 50 I'm leaning more towards IBS C. Any suggestions. Never dealt with constipation before.
