My ENT tested me. He knew right away with all my symptoms that it was food allergies.

You should ask the doctor for a referral. I think most insurance companies require a referral

Never thought of getting tested for food allergies. Why isn’t my gastroenterologist ordering these tests or do I ask.?

A GI doctor could help with allergy testing. Maybe a dietician too
You would need a referral and most insurance wound cover the testing !
